Arthropod and the dead leaf butterfly

the 3 distinct characteristica of arthropods would be thier exoskeletons,jointed appendages and having a segmented body

The dead leaf butterfly is famous for it's realistic immitation of a leaf for camoflage when it's wings are closed. As you can see in the photo above it resembles a dead leaf. When the butterfly's wings are open....(in the photo below).

What I found most interesting about this animal was it's ability to change color and blend with it's suroundings to survive, and thier means of escape from danger by releasing ink as a distraction.

In the world squids can feed on plants, animals, and maybe even have symbiotic relationships with algae or parasites. Some animals prey on them as a primary source of food. We humans eat them aswell
